What a great meal! Sat outside (which is quite the scene on a beautiful Saturday evening!) We were a party of three and shared the following: zucchini fritters, charred Brussels sprouts, caccio e pepe pasta, tuna crudo, Branzino, duck with grilled endive, and for dessert shared the apple crostada. If I had to pick favorites, maybe the tuna crudo and the duck. Every dish was outstanding. Service was also excellent. Nice, interesting wine list and tasty specialty cocktails. Highly recommended!

Rosemary had a reputation- and it did indeed live up to it. I joined a few friends for a late dinner and we had an exceptional time. The service was amazing, the food was on point and the drinks were tasty. A couple standouts for the experience was- they had a dairy free menu and did a great job accommodating different dietary restrictions. Highly recommend. I'll be back soon.

Rose Mary was an incredible experience. I made a reservation a couple of weeks prior for a Saturday evening reservation. The staff was very kind and accommodating through the special birthday dinner that was planned. We tried a plethora of things on the menu. Zucchini fritters, Mezzaluna, Gnocchi, Carota, Cevapi, and Pork Ribs Pampanella. This was such a range of flavors and the full spectrums of items. The highlights were: - Gnocchi - the epitome of comfort. The flavors so bold, sharp and soft. I never wanted this to end. - Pork Ribs Pampanella - fall off the bone tender, paired with the best sauce you will ever taste. The slaw brings things to perfection with the balance of texture, flavor and temperature. Truly genius! - Carota - so so rich with flavor. Very unique in this being different from its pairs, loved the pointed direction to summer flavors and veggies. Personally I would skip the Cevapi (very large in size, but the flavor was very basic) and the Zucchini Fritters were quite greasy so not the best food to start the meal. Overall - Rose Mary was an incredible experience. Fair price and the atmosphere is amazing. Cheers!!

Favorite restaurant in Chicago after a week of visiting! The vibe and atmosphere were so fun and sexy. We ordered five dishes for the two of us, and they were spectacular--the summer squash, tuna carpaccio, scampi, cacio e pepe, and lamb risotto. Honestly, every single dish was phenomenal. They also had a great selection of wine! Our server, Greg M., was incredible--super attentive, made sure we were comfortable, and just a genuinely nice guy. He definitely exceeded our expectations and made the experience top notch!!!! :) It was such a treat to meet Joe Flamm (we're big fans), and he went the extra mile to come say hello. So sweet and personable! The food, ambiance, and staff were all excellent. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant!

Love Chef Flamm since his Top Chef win and was thrilled to finally dine at Rose Mary. What a great meal in hip surroundings! Everything on the menu sounded delish and many plates are in the $20 range. Glad it's a shared plate experience, as we ended up trying more dishes, all beautifully plated. Zucchini Fritters - Amazing, crispy, tasted great without the sauce. Lived up to the hype. Tuna Crudo - reluctant to get but this was probably my favorite. Well seasoned and the fried capers added great texture. Beef tallow packs so much flavor, and nice light contrast to the heavy fritters. Buccatini - didn't taste like hollow tubes, my friend and I agreed it was underboiled. Pancetta tasted great, not salty. Curly pasta (forgot the name) - first bite was salty, perfectly al dente, rich sauce but not heavy. Dessert - The Toffee Zelten was light and amazing, well balanced texturally. Service was uneven. We arrived late for our reservation but called to let them know. Diners are limited to 90 minutes. We felt somewhat rushed to order and it was quite a wait to get our entrees. The place was bustling at 8pm on Sunday. Service was businesslike but by the end of our meal around 9:30, it was calmer enough for us to get better service. Every angle of Rose Mary is unique in design and I love the open kitchen. Note: It's in a gentrifying area but definitely worth the "adventure" if you walk from the L. Five months later, I'm still craving the crudo!!

We celebrated my birthday at Rosemary, and the evening was nothing short of delightful. Our server, Kelly, was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, making sure our night was special from start to finish. We began with cocktails, each of us choosing something different: the Raspberry Olive Oil Sour, a Manhattan, and the Rum Coconut Milk Punch. Despite our varying tastes in alcohol, all three drinks were excellent, well-balanced, and creatively crafted. They set a perfect tone for the meal ahead. Our first course included the stracciatella, which was an absolute standout. Served with marinated peaches, fennel pollen, and lepinja, it was a perfect combination of flavors and textures. This dish quickly became our favorite, and we're already planning to return for it. I sincerely hope it remains a permanent fixture on the menu. We also ordered the tuna crudo and zucchini fritters as starters. Both dishes were light, fresh, and beautifully presented, offering a fun and flavorful way to begin our meal. For the main courses, we opted for a variety of dishes: the lamb saddle, cacio e pepe, rigatoni alla norma, and branzino. The lamb saddle (not pictured because we ate it too fast) was a repeat order from our first visit, and it didn't disappoint--tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, it's clearly a house favorite. The rigatoni alla norma, a traditional Sicilian pasta dish with lightly cooked eggplant and ricotta salata, was another highlight. This dish holds a special place in my heart, connecting me to my family's heritage, and Rosemary's version was heavenly. While the cacio e pepe and branzino were enjoyable, they didn't quite reach the same level of excitement as the other dishes. That said, this could simply be because the rest of the meal was so exceptional. Overall, our experience at Rosemary was fantastic, and we will undoubtedly be back for more. From the inventive cocktails to the unforgettable stracciatella and the comforting rigatoni alla norma, this is a place that truly knows how to create memorable dining experiences.

Rose Mary has been a hit in Fulton Market, and for good reason. The Italian-Croatian restaurant brings a much needed breath of fresh air to the area where restaurants are getting a bit stuffy... Rose Mary is fun, casual, but delivers high quality food and service. Admittedly, my one concern is echoed in some of the other reviews- that the experience can be inconsistent. The zucchini fritters were a delight one night but a bit bland on another. That being said, the restaurant is a must-go in my opinion, and I confidently recommend it. The food, the fabulous decor, the vibe they've cultivated, the service, everything is a joy. The cocktails are also fantastic- I really enjoyed my clarified milk rum in particular. Just be sure to plan ahead because getting a table can be a challenge!

I had heard about this spot for awhile now and how it's a stand out in the bustling West Loop/Fulton Market neighborhood. The reviews were good, the food looked great, and the fact that the head chef won season 15 of Top Chef, all made me terribly interested in sampling the cuisine at Rose Mary. So yeah, there's been a lot of behind this spot. And if you know anything about me, I love the taste of hype. Like I mentioned before, Rose Mary is Top Chef winner Joe Flamm's restaurant. He's a Chicago native who had previously worked at Spiaggia and The Girl and The Goat. He's also an extremely likable dude and one of my all time favorite Top Chef contestants. The food is of the Croatian and Italian variety, which is pretty intriguing in and of itself. I had a reservation for an upcoming birthday dinner (not my birthday), but once I saw there was one available for a few days before that, I decided to book that for my girlfriend and I. I usually determine what my favorite restaurants are by how badly I want to come back after dining there. And after everything I've heard about this place, I figured I would want to come back sooner than later. My girlfriend and I ordered the zucchini fritters, tuna crudo, cacio e pepe, crni, and cevapi. The food was really good, with the crni and cevapi being the standouts. I really enjoyed the meal, but I wasn't necessarily blown away like I was expecting to be. I also found the service to be very lackluster. To be honest, I was a bit worried what my family would think about this food in a few days. However, the meal I had with them ended up being fantastic! With the exception of the tune crudo, we ordered the same dishes I had with my girlfriend but also added the crostini, stracciatella, lamb ragu malfaldine, duck sausage, pork ribs pampenella, and the bone in strip steak. Everything was delicious and the food I had previously ordered a few days before was even better. I realized the fritters, squid, and cevapi were overcooked when I previously visited. The service this time around was excellent, as well. Our entire party left very happy. I am 100% convinced that the staff must have gotten wasted the night before my girlfriend and I visited (which was a Sunday). As someone who had worked in the service, these things tend to happen every and now then. So I get it. But yeah, based on the visit I had with my family, I can confidently say that this is the real deal and one of the best restaurants in the West Loop.

I love this place so much! Every experience I have here is so spectacular. Everyone is attentive, kind, efficient, and helpful. It's always just such a great vibe. And sitting at the chef's counter is ~chef's kiss~. Food wise, I've never had anything I don't like. Everything is so so good. Is that hyperbole? Maybe, but I've seriously never left not satisfied. My absolute favorite dishes are the tuna crudo, beef cheek gnocchi, octopus, and rigatoni a la Norma. Drinks, their spritzes always hit. Can't go wrong with anyone them. But any of their cocktails are also so refreshing. If I could eat here every day, I'd live here.
